Yevgeny Suchkov (17.01.1945) is a Director of Election Technologies Institute. In 1969, he graduated from Moscow Institute of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering (IEME) majoring in Engineer Physicist; he worked as a Machine-Shop Manager, Deputy Secretary of Cheremushky District Committee of LYCLSU (Leninist Young Communist League of the Soviet Union) of Moscow, led Moscow Regional Bureau of International Youth Tourism (BIYT) ‘Sputnik’; he held the position of the Chief of Central Department of Moscow Organization of Russia Democratic Party.
He became famous as an author of a complete and systematic Russian guidebook on all aspects of political technologies. His books ‘Political Technologies’ written in cooperation with E. Malkin has become a manual for modern Russian political scientists. The book is a development and summarizing of the authors’ work (Y. Suchkov and E. Malkin) ‘Basis of Election Technologies and Party Construction’ that has had more than five editions. Issues of preparing and carrying out election campaigns, political campaigns and political projects, as well as issues of party construction were considered from unified methodological positions. The book is written based on Russian experience and illustrated with numerous examples from practice of Russian election campaigns and party construction for the last fifteen years.
